He's Ron Fucking Swanson.

He's character on "Parks & Recreation." Start with season 2 and you'll be a happier person for it.

I've never heard of it. I'll see what the DVR picks up.

JediKooter 10-28-2011 12:00 PM

Don't feel bad Rizon. I've never heard of the guy either. But, if this is a 'prime time' network show, odds are, I definitely have not seen it or heard of it.

I watch everything on DVR and don't watch commercials, so I have no idea what channel the show I'm watching is on, when it's on, etc etc :D

I hear you. Maybe I'm just getting cantankerous in my old(er) age, but, I find myself having less and less and less patience for commercials and I think that's one of the main reasons I avoid the major networks as much as possible (even though the other cable channels have their fair share of commercials as well). The sad thing...I have a DVR and I don't utilize it as much as I should.

Ksyrup 10-28-2011 12:20 PM

I don't watch anything at its regularly schedule time unless it's a live sporting event.

I usually DVR sports, too, and then start watching about 30-60 minutes after the event starts. That way I skip through commercials and halftime/intermissions and I'm usually caught up by the time the game actually finishes.

Ksyrup 10-28-2011 12:59 PM

I can't do that. One of my favorite things to do is follow twitter while a game is going on. Twitter has basically replaced announcers for me. And the bonus is, it's quiet!

johnnyshaka 10-28-2011 01:07 PM

I don't have one of those Tweet accounts (or a tweetable phone), but I'm with you on the announcers. I absolutely, CANNOT stomach announcers these days. I can't watch a game and listen to them yammer. Plus my wife will watch football with me if it's DVRd. We can watch a whole 3 1/2 hour game in like 45 minutes.

Actually, I'd prefer option C to be that. The 60% is the one that sticks out like "you shouldn't pick me" or "I'm a trick question so pick me"

Quick, someone delete some posts discussing the question like it has an answer so we can save the top of the page.

She's on the show Fairly Legal which is terrible and would probably be completely unwatchable if not for her hotness, but was also on Life which is a better than average police procedural.

Buccaneer 10-28-2011 09:53 PM

Nice page. What's in the colored trays?

I guess most of you won't get a chance to be an 'old' hippie like me. If so, then you would give up watching TV (DVR or otherwise) altogether. Over-commercialization and over-production of everything have become intolerable. Thank god for dvd and teh internets though.

In this Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 photo provided by the National Park Service, Everglades National Park wildlife biologists Mark Parry, left, and Skip Snow perform a necropsy on a Burmese Python that was captured and killed in Everglades National Park, Fla. The 15.65-foot-long Python had recently consumed a 76-lb. adult female deer. The reptile was one of the largest ever found in South Florida. (AP Photo/National Park Service)
