Those gifs is what it looks like right after a raptor has left the scene. Except for the 2nd with taxi cab in the reflection. The raptor is in the taxi cab.

![]() Heather Golczynski and her 8-year-old son Christian hold tightly to the memory of Marine Staff Sgt. Marc Golczynski. On March 27, just a few weeks before Marc Golczynski was to return home from his second tour in Iraq -- one he volunteered for -- he was shot on patrol and killed by enemy fire in al-Aanbar province. During a moment at the burial, Christian stepped forward to receive the flag for his father. The expression of grief on his young face was captured in a photo and became a powerful symbol for soldiers, their families and anyone who sees it. |
Awesome pic...

Really? I dunno. Jesus had the power to heal everyone and didn't. And his dad didn't really take to well to societies he felt weren't handling things the right way. I really don't care what your opinion on religion or politics is, but I've seen this before and I don't quite get it. |

Re: Jesus
Also not anti-war (at least judging from the effect that he commanded warfare under certain circumstances) And also not socialist (though his followers advocated voluntary form of sharing resources, neither he nor followers advocated government-enforced socialism). But this is a thread about photos, not politics, not religion. Next time, choose a cool picture. kthxbai |

Lemme address - Jesus, most definitely anti-war (Hiii turn the other cheek), his closest followers basically lived in a communist dream society in the Book of Acts where they all shared everything in common, and he did give away free healthcare - maybe not to everyone, but to all who asked.

Your theology fails almost every test of proper exegesis, hermeneutics and even logic. Taking random teachings and examples out of context without consulting the remainder of Scripture is exactly how Bible interpreters mess it up and come up with crazy theology. Without anchoring your thoughts in a proper framework, you can make the Bible say almost anything you want - for example: Jesus doesn't want people drinking water (he turned it to wine, remember?), he condemns bankers (he fashioned a whip and drove out the money changers) and he advocates children running away from home ("whoever does not forsake his mother and father cannot follow me"). Of course, such interpretations are ridiculous, even if they "make sense" based only on the select examples and teachings I cherry-picked. Your examples above are doing the same thing. Not as ridiculous, of course, but just as wrong. However, so as not to hijack this thread any further, let me suggest if any would like to honestly discuss the issue, I always welcome PMs. |

Would I get a boxing for a Nancy Grace nip slip?
|
Quote:
Not in the slightest. In fact it is modernist theologians who have taken the radical nature of Jesus's teachings and transformed it into something safe and "easy". I am fitting them completely within their 1st Century Jewish context and Jesus's fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy as He brought the Kingdom to Earth. To claim that Jesus was not anti-war is ludicrious. The earliest Christians even refused to accept soldiers because it was seen as being against the teachings of Jesus. The Jews were pissed off at Jesus becuse their concept of the Messiah was to lead a revolt to cast off Rome, not to bring them a freedom from sin. In addition, the communal society in Acts clearly exists in the Bible. And yes, all who asked Him got healed, regardless of their nature beforehand (centarions, unclean women, etc, etc). I would urge you to read about the Early Christians and how they lived and acted and see how they saw the message of Jesus, while you read the Gospels in their appropriate context. |
Quote:
I dunno, but you find that to be cool? I say do it! If not, send it to me and I will take the shot! |
She claims it didn't happen, so I guess it's technically not a nip slip. But the chances of any of us mods agreeing with Nancy Grace is slim.
|
I saw the clip, and it's obvious it was a nip slip simply because of how quickly the camera went back to crowd shots. You can truly only see it with a screencap, it was that quick.
|
If that's an Oakland booty, looks like I'll be spending more time in Oakland.
|
And besides, we are engaging in super detailed analysis of a humerous political sign! It's like the Book of Proverbs (pithy sayings designed to reach your heart, not something to be analyized to death!!!)
