OK, so are you attacking this with the idea that EF and I are both wolves? I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be defending here but if that is the case take a look at the votes from yesterday. I think that would be a pretty tough case to make given me leaving him in danger all day and never moving my vote when pretty much everyone else flipped around multiple times.

Poli 05-14-2009 05:42 PM

Okay, enough of this q business. It's great for writing like that to a friend when I have time, but it's hard to keep up if I'm constantly looking up words.

hoopsguy 05-14-2009 05:43 PM

Also, I understand that my schedule is not anyone's priority when determining votes. So all is fair, but I'll still be seething if I come back to see that I've overtaken two guys with 8+ votes in the last hour.

Don't make me give that rant :)

Chief Rum 05-14-2009 05:44 PM

Is a vote count needed? Or are we still essentially looking at EF vs PB?

EagleFan 05-14-2009 05:44 PM

Why did I even come into this thread hoping that people came to their senses?

Why the fuck are people asking Lathum what to do? He freaking casts a vote out and is offering nothing behind it but the chance that there is some sort of "hidden agenda" to it and you are buying it (well half of you are buying it). Nothing good comes from my lynch for the village.

I guess the other half are spooning up Lathum's shit now as it is an obvious cure for cancer.

The Jackal 05-14-2009 05:45 PM

PB - 9
EF - 8
hoops - 1

Danny 05-14-2009 05:45 PM

As of post #1206:

9 - PurdueBrad - Latham (790), hoopsguy (822), Telle (1020), Abe (1045), The Jackal (1050), Barkeep (1120), Lerriuqs (1137), Chief Rum (1166), Poli (1199)

8 - EagleFan - Alan T (951), Autumn (969), DaddyTorgo (971), dubb (1014), MartinD (1112), PackerFanatic (1123), Passacaglia (1157), PurdueBrad (1169)

1 - Hoopsguy - Saldana (1194)

hoopsguy 05-14-2009 05:46 PM

EF, you do realize that Lathum is voting for PB, right? There are probably 8 better candidates for you to appeal to at this point in the game.

Just sayin'.

Just pissed that Lathum is the one making a weird ass play here and not getting a second glance for it. I'm the one being screwed big time here.

Oh, and he didn't steal it. He did "other things" to it, the sick bastard... ;)

Chief Rum 05-14-2009 05:48 PM

I hardly think he isn't getting a second glance. I think we're giving him a pass because this game appears to allow people to gain information but then not be able to share roles. It could be a game mechanic manipulative wolf play, but it doesn't strike me as one.

One of the reasons people started voting for you is because they didn't want Lathum's idea to be a runaway, and if you aren't a wolf the wolves set you up to be in the running by removing your vote.

Passacaglia 05-14-2009 05:52 PM

PB, I think I asked you this before -- you suspected Telle, Martin, and hoops, who all voted for people other than ntn. Is there any reason for that?

Why dubb?

alan isnt being too annoying :) so either he has turned over a new leaf, or hes a wolf.

i really wanna know whats goign on with lathum tho...

Passacaglia 05-14-2009 06:00 PM

While I'm asking why, can we run down the arguments of some others?

PB -- Lathum has a possible reason to vote for him
EF -- Lathum has a possible reason to vote for PB

Anything else I'm missing?

claphamsa 05-14-2009 06:00 PM

I'm still not getting this either. It would be a stupid move to make as it puts him in the spotlight. And since the rules clearly state that they can use the criticize thing on their own, they'd have to think we were idiots if they thought it would garner him trust. I'm not saying I think this puts him in the clear.. maybe there's some second/third/whatever-level thinking going on here.. but at this point I think PB is just a better lynch candidate.

Lathum is beyond confusing. At this point he has voted, said his role points to PB being a wolf, said his role does not point to PB being a wolf. Said even if PB isn't a wolf that doesn't implicate him. Said he will not push a PB vote. Said he supports an EF vote and said he would vote me if he didn't have good reason for a PB vote. And yet his vote remains on PB and was cast like a minute after the deadline.

I'm trying to figure out why the village is eating this up. That is more insane than I have been in the past.

Chief Rum 05-14-2009 06:23 PM

EF, I understand the Lathum thing frustrating you, as I could certainly see why you would think it should be PB vs Lathum.

Still, your diatribe on this isn't helping you. It looks a little silly, frankly, you railing on about being subject to a vote run, when the object of your railing is actually voting for the other guy!!!

Also, acting like all is lost when you're not leading in votes, sheesh. Not saying you're not in danger here, but that's some overreaction there, don't you think?

I think I know how you felt in Hades that first day at this point. I don't hink I am over-reacting. There is one person who has been targeted by the wolves among us..... ME. I have no action for self defense and yet who is being targeted for a lynch.... ME

Please tell me how this makes any sense?

Yet everyone is trying to make excuses for Lathum and his vote and one of the theories was that he was targeted by a wolf to make him vote that way. There is one known wolf target and one lame theory so naturally we'll buy into the lame theory... I don't freaking get it!!!

yes

Poli 05-14-2009 06:31 PM

Yeah, but what are our options at this point?

PurdueBrad 05-14-2009 06:31 PM

Reasons to vote for me:

Lathum said so

You get info from slaying me

I don't have an important role

Reasons not to: I am good

So I understand why most have voted for me.

Passacaglia 05-14-2009 06:31 PM

Well I've got to go very soon. There's a lot of people on. I've already tried a third option and it got no traction, but I'm willing to change again. What have you got?

Poli 05-14-2009 06:33 PM

I'm willing to go with the Telle option. Reviewing PB's post about Telle, I find it somewhat compelling. Telle was acting...weird, no doubt.

The Lathum thing weirds me out, too. But I don't know that I see enough reason to switch to Telle. The only thing I have some confidence in is that the EF is indeed a villager.

Kinda bein' a whiny villager, but a villager all the same. ;)

It would almost make more sense, if we're going to run off of PB, to switch to Lathum. Although I can also see the "compelled vote" logic abit.

I think it's likely villagers all around.

I don't have a compelling reason to switch off of PB. No one stands out above PB. So why switch? PB might be asmuch of a villager as some other 3rd candidate, but no other case is strong enough to argue for the switch.

Yeah dubb, ntn would only be known good at the time to a wolf who could be trying to garner trust. Otherwise, why anchor yourself to somebody on day 1 like that?

Telle 05-14-2009 06:51 PM

As of post # 1290:

7 - PurdueBrad - Latham (790), hoopsguy (822), Telle (1020), Abe (1045), The Jackal (1050), Lerriuqs (1137), Chief Rum (1166)
7 - EagleFan - Alan T (951), Autumn (969), DaddyTorgo (971), dubb (1014), MartinD (1112), PackerFanatic (1123), Passacaglia (1157)
2 - hoopsguy - saldana (1194), Barkeep (1264)
3 - Telle - PurdueBrad (1258), Poli (1261), claphamsa (1285)

I know right? It's not as absurd as it first seems since a wolf will know who the villagers are and can thus defend aggressively. But it is pretty stupid. I know I'm voting for you but I think there's a much stronger case to be made for PB's and EF's innocence than yours.
