OK, so are you attacking this with the idea that EF and I are both wolves? I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be defending here but if that is the case take a look at the votes from yesterday. I think that would be a pretty tough case to make given me leaving him in danger all day and never moving my vote when pretty much everyone else flipped around multiple times. |
Okay, enough of this q business. It's great for writing like that to a friend when I have time, but it's hard to keep up if I'm constantly looking up words.
|
Also, I understand that my schedule is not anyone's priority when determining votes. So all is fair, but I'll still be seething if I come back to see that I've overtaken two guys with 8+ votes in the last hour.
Don't make me give that rant :) |
Is a vote count needed? Or are we still essentially looking at EF vs PB?
|
Why did I even come into this thread hoping that people came to their senses?
Why the fuck are people asking Lathum what to do? He freaking casts a vote out and is offering nothing behind it but the chance that there is some sort of "hidden agenda" to it and you are buying it (well half of you are buying it). Nothing good comes from my lynch for the village. I guess the other half are spooning up Lathum's shit now as it is an obvious cure for cancer. |
PB - 9
EF - 8 hoops - 1 |
As of post #1206:
9 - PurdueBrad - Latham (790), hoopsguy (822), Telle (1020), Abe (1045), The Jackal (1050), Barkeep (1120), Lerriuqs (1137), Chief Rum (1166), Poli (1199) 8 - EagleFan - Alan T (951), Autumn (969), DaddyTorgo (971), dubb (1014), MartinD (1112), PackerFanatic (1123), Passacaglia (1157), PurdueBrad (1169) 1 - Hoopsguy - Saldana (1194) |
EF, you do realize that Lathum is voting for PB, right? There are probably 8 better candidates for you to appeal to at this point in the game.
Just sayin'. |
Quote:
|
And with that, I'm out until after deadline.
|
So clap.. you might want to vote
|
Quote:
Just pissed that Lathum is the one making a weird ass play here and not getting a second glance for it. I'm the one being screwed big time here. Oh, and he didn't steal it. He did "other things" to it, the sick bastard... ;) |
All right, let's all vote for hoops! :D
|
You've been wrong before. Shrug.
|
Quote:
I hardly think he isn't getting a second glance. I think we're giving him a pass because this game appears to allow people to gain information but then not be able to share roles. It could be a game mechanic manipulative wolf play, but it doesn't strike me as one. One of the reasons people started voting for you is because they didn't want Lathum's idea to be a runaway, and if you aren't a wolf the wolves set you up to be in the running by removing your vote. |
PB, I think I asked you this before -- you suspected Telle, Martin, and hoops, who all voted for people other than ntn. Is there any reason for that?
|
Quote:
Well, Telle and Martin were both on him, that doesnt seem like coincidence for his suspicion. |
Quote:
i got an hour. i hope it doesnt matter, since i dont think either warn ti. |
Quote:
That may or may not be all for him. I think PB is smart enough to know that just because someone is voting for him, that doesn't make him a wolf. |
Quote:
I know, I expect there to be more, but that's a starting point. |
I'm going to shower, eat, and watch tv. I'll be in and out like a fiddler's elbow.
|
Quote:
How could it matter? And who do you think does "warn ti"? |
Quote:
He said he'd vote for dubb if it didn't look like a throwaway. |
Why dubb?
|
I guess I'll stop talking for other people. I'm just bored.
|
i think i wouldnt mind voting hoops, i wouldn't mind voting telle, poli is always worth voting off since he is just annoying :D
alan isnt being too annoying :) so either he has turned over a new leaf, or hes a wolf. i really wanna know whats goign on with lathum tho... |
While I'm asking why, can we run down the arguments of some others?
PB -- Lathum has a possible reason to vote for him EF -- Lathum has a possible reason to vote for PB Anything else I'm missing? |
and while lathum is confusing, i think dubb is trying to railroad him.
|
or i just dont know dubb well enough yet
|
and im not sure railroading lathum is ever a bad thing :)
|
One hour until deadline
|
Oh wait, I forgot, EF switched votes a bunch of times Day 1. Anything else we got?
|
Quote:
OMG!!!! That's right from the wolf day one playbook Front Office Football Central - View Single Post - Group Therapy - Day 2 Deadline Thursday 8pm Eastern |
Not sure I understand, Pass. You mean, why else are EF and PB getting votes?
I forget what the reason was for the run on PB yesterday. |
Quote:
Lathum's the one that led the charge on me yesterday. Now today he's tryng to manipulate the vote and people are freaking making up excuses for him and his lousy vote. Drink the Cool Aid!!! |
Quote:
I'm still not getting this either. It would be a stupid move to make as it puts him in the spotlight. And since the rules clearly state that they can use the criticize thing on their own, they'd have to think we were idiots if they thought it would garner him trust. I'm not saying I think this puts him in the clear.. maybe there's some second/third/whatever-level thinking going on here.. but at this point I think PB is just a better lynch candidate. |
Quote:
Sooo.. we should not listen to Lathum and instead vote for you? I'm really confused as to what you're trying to do here. |
Oh well, if I'm out then I'm out. I was hoping to stay longer but at least my death is not a total loss. Look long and hard at those who pulled your strings like freaking puppets here today AND yesterday.

Eags, don't you think you're overreacting just a bit?
|
Then again, I guess you can't vote to defend yourself.
|
Why did saldana move his vote to hoopsguy? That feels like a weird play to me.
|
Quote:
Lathum is beyond confusing. At this point he has voted, said his role points to PB being a wolf, said his role does not point to PB being a wolf. Said even if PB isn't a wolf that doesn't implicate him. Said he will not push a PB vote. Said he supports an EF vote and said he would vote me if he didn't have good reason for a PB vote. And yet his vote remains on PB and was cast like a minute after the deadline. I'm trying to figure out why the village is eating this up. That is more insane than I have been in the past. |
EF, I understand the Lathum thing frustrating you, as I could certainly see why you would think it should be PB vs Lathum.
Still, your diatribe on this isn't helping you. It looks a little silly, frankly, you railing on about being subject to a vote run, when the object of your railing is actually voting for the other guy!!! Also, acting like all is lost when you're not leading in votes, sheesh. Not saying you're not in danger here, but that's some overreaction there, don't you think? |
Quote:
Agreed. Didn't seem the time for me to question it, but I filed that move away when I saw it for later digestion. |
Quote:
I think I know how you felt in Hades that first day at this point. I don't hink I am over-reacting. There is one person who has been targeted by the wolves among us..... ME. I have no action for self defense and yet who is being targeted for a lynch.... ME Please tell me how this makes any sense? Yet everyone is trying to make excuses for Lathum and his vote and one of the theories was that he was targeted by a wolf to make him vote that way. There is one known wolf target and one lame theory so naturally we'll buy into the lame theory... I don't freaking get it!!! |
I have a feeling I'm going to be missing a crazy deadline.
|
Is anyone else thinking we're villager/villager here?
|
Quote:
Very possibly. I've been afraid of it all day. But I'm hoping the seer gets in two useful scans and that Lathum is legitimately leading us towards good villager outcome like he says he is. |
Quote:
YES |
yes
|
Yeah, but what are our options at this point?
|
Reasons to vote for me:
Lathum said so You get info from slaying me I don't have an important role Reasons not to: I am good So I understand why most have voted for me. |
Well I've got to go very soon. There's a lot of people on. I've already tried a third option and it got no traction, but I'm willing to change again. What have you got?
|
I'm willing to go with the Telle option. Reviewing PB's post about Telle, I find it somewhat compelling. Telle was acting...weird, no doubt.
|
Let's do it.
VOTE TELLE And I'm out. |
Quote:
Oh that's nothing new.. just ask RendeR ;) Oh wait, you meant about the game... |
This could really backfire on me.
unvote EF vote Telle |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Don't you have to unvote EF first? |
This might make me look like I'm leading a crusade, which I'm not.
However UNVOTE PB VOTE TELLE |
Although I was tempted to try and drum up a run on Hoops just to see him seethe.
|
I'll buy you pizza at The Silo if you do.

And people are still voting PB because of Lathum? Unvote Purdue Vote Hoops |
Hmmmm, I could have a date with Poli...
|
I wondered what people made of Lathum's "no no no" post.
|
I saw the votes on hoops earlier, but I didn't catch why.
So, why? |
See CR in 1165 for why I didn't vote for EF. Well stated.

Sorry I made my hoops post before catching up. What's the telle logic? I'm certainly willing to go there.
|
The Lathum thing weirds me out, too. But I don't know that I see enough reason to switch to Telle. The only thing I have some confidence in is that the EF is indeed a villager.
Kinda bein' a whiny villager, but a villager all the same. ;) It would almost make more sense, if we're going to run off of PB, to switch to Lathum. Although I can also see the "compelled vote" logic abit. I think it's likely villagers all around. |

That would explain the insanity and some of the things he has said today. |
BK, I've never been to a get together and want to. We need to get one together at a beer garden somewhere.
|
Quote:
I don't have a compelling reason to switch off of PB. No one stands out above PB. So why switch? PB might be asmuch of a villager as some other 3rd candidate, but no other case is strong enough to argue for the switch. |
All right, I am heading home from work. Will be out until after deadline, of course. So good luck to the candidates. Hope we get a wolf.
|
Can someone explain the Telle vote? I prefer my vote to matter, than not, but also prefer it to be right.

Any idea of the vote count at this point?

Hi, didn't we have this talk several hours ago? Yeah dubb, ntn would only be known good at the time to a wolf who could be trying to garner trust. Otherwise, why anchor yourself to somebody on day 1 like that? |
As of post # 1290:
7 - PurdueBrad - Latham (790), hoopsguy (822), Telle (1020), Abe (1045), The Jackal (1050), Lerriuqs (1137), Chief Rum (1166) 7 - EagleFan - Alan T (951), Autumn (969), DaddyTorgo (971), dubb (1014), MartinD (1112), PackerFanatic (1123), Passacaglia (1157) 2 - hoopsguy - saldana (1194), Barkeep (1264) 3 - Telle - PurdueBrad (1258), Poli (1261), claphamsa (1285) |
Trying to catch up but not going to mak it before deadline. A summary anyone?
|
Sigh.

Hell, I have no problem voting Hoops, I think I'm going to ultimately be stuck voting EF, and my read on Telle, as I've said as well, is about odd play.

I didn't "anchor" myself to anyone. I just said that voting for him because you didn't like his voting style was a shitty thing to do and I wasn't going to pile on to that. |
