Uh no....this is the first I have heard of this. Does that mean EA allows their employee to produce competing sports titles (or attempt to)?

wade moore 11-10-2010 03:30 PM

I'm pretty sure this was discovered at some point.. that he was maybe involved in the Head Coach line AFTER MF was released.

FAIL. I should read the link first.

In 2006 I released a 3D football title called Maximum-Football in which I created all 3D artwork and animation, and designed and coded all features.

In 2005 I was approached and recruited by Electronic Arts and since then, I have been the Online Producer/Designer at the EA Canada studios creating the online experience for EA Sports titles (including the annual releases of Madden NFL Football, NHL Hockey, NBA Live, and FIFA Soccer, and many others).

LOL....I wonder.

CU Tiger 11-10-2010 08:32 PM

He is the Axl Rose of the sports text sim world.
If only we could get Dr. Pepper to offer everyone in America a free drink on release day, maybe that would spur this to development.

Chinese Football?
Maximum Democracy!

Toddzilla 11-11-2010 07:56 AM

He needs to link this thread to his stupid resume.

JPhillips 11-11-2010 08:05 AM

I've tried to link this thread to the Wiki page, but it keeps getting deleted.

"competing" :lol:

jbergey22 11-11-2010 10:02 AM

Anyone played this?

JediKooter 11-11-2010 11:20 AM

I have it on layaway at K-Mart.

MIJB#19 11-11-2010 05:16 PM

For a second I thought they deleted my forum account overthere, but apparently they didn't.
Joy.

Happy 5-year anniversary to the greatest thread ever.

Mac Howard 12-30-2010 07:43 PM

I've just been looking at the operationsports list of sports text games and find this list for football:

FOF
Professional Football Simulator
Football Mogul
Action PC Football
Total Pro Football
Universal Football League
Draft Day Sports Pro Football
Strat-O-Matic Football

I always enjoyed playing Head Coach V3 back in the early nineties but have not been aware of a worthwhile multi-season, headcoach game since. Are any of the above worth downloading and playing?

I've been tempted by Strat-O-Matic, so was looking forward to opinion too. Enjoyed the board game, but I would prefer season on season progression, and can't work out if that is part of the PC version.

One you missed was Second & Ten - I've dl'd the demo a couple of times, but find it a little bit dry, and the career mode seems very clunky at best.

Izulde 01-01-2011 05:37 PM

DDS: Pro Football hasn't been released yet, FWIW. I love FOF from a GM standpoint. TPF was a bit of a hot mess IMO, although some people really liked it. Football Mogul is terrible in every way.

I'm looking forward to my scale model stadium, complete with beer tent. This is going to be amazing.

JediKooter 02-13-2012 03:44 PM

Well, one things for sure, there's always some product that is in development there.

Maximized.

EagleFan 02-17-2013 06:39 PM

A call for a time to remember...

I remember special moments, such as plays starting from inside the endzone... or ninja defenders that would be in stealth mode and then appear out of nowhere...

Thankfully there was a beer tent...

If Maximum Football means, ultra realistic, I'm in!!!

Apparently Daivd is now trying to distance himself as far as possible from the epicness that is Max FB.

Wintervalley Scale Model Decals and Accessories for RCAF Subjects

Quote:

Welcome...

Wintervalley Model Products
has a new name and a new home

Wintervalley has been in business formally since about 1994 and was started as a business software and game design company. When I began selling hobby products I simply folded that small endeavour under the Wintervalley name. However as my business in the hobby industry grew, it became more apparent that the Wintervalley name and brand didn't fully reflect the business goals. Those goals being to provide Canadian hobby enthusiasts with the very best in Canadian content. With that in mind a new business was created.

Through Canuck Model Products I will work to continue to provide you with the best quality Canadian decals, accessories, and soon, I hope to have full kits.

The new website has been launched at Canuck Model Products: Scale Model Decals and Resin Parts for RCAF Subjects
The new Facebook page is www.facebook.com/canuckmodels

The transition from Wintervalley to Canuck Model Products (CMP) will happen over the next couple of weeks. Transactions from this point forward will be handled under the Canuck Model Products name but the product stock will retain Wintervalley branding until current stock runs out and new stock is created.
Thank you for your time and please email with any questions.

Toddzilla 02-19-2013 11:45 AM

so he's gone from ultra-realistic 3D football simulations to making stickers for toys?

JediKooter 02-19-2013 11:50 AM

Same great website graphics. How can this NOT fail?

JPhillips 02-19-2013 12:01 PM

That seems a much more appropriate business for one guy.

JediKooter 02-19-2013 12:08 PM

Hopefully he will sell beer tent stickers.

Damn! It was just 7 years ago on this day that this song was dropped on one of the most amazing threads in FOFC. The thread that lingered for years and had a slew of developers as well as FOFCers contribute. If there are any new game developers and/or game publishers to find out what not to do, this is the best thread for reference.

LLLLLOOOOVVVEE IT!!!

Laughing so hard I'm crying. Totally forgot about this song any my favorite "not the Steelers" logo.

On vacation next week may just take a day and reread this thread. It is Gold.

I was rereading this sometime last week which is why I realized this was coming up on 7 years. From start to finish, I am still amazed at this thread even though images were deleted or even references to other threads were removed.
