July 14, 2009: A Day Worth Skipping Work For? Stuck
Posted on January 12, 2009 at 06:45 PM.
I know how reliable most video games store's release dates are, and I also know that it is kind of silly to release two marquee titles on the same day, but right now Gamestop & EB Games are listing both Fight Night Round 4 and NCAA Football 10 for release on July 14, 2008.

I could go into the reasons why this is most likely unfounded and will be changed soon, but I'd rather go into detail about why such a release would rock.

1) Operation Sports would be absolutely booming that week. Can you imagine how many people we'd have online? Our server is shaking just thinking about it.

2) I don't know which game I'd play first. I'm an NCAA Football (digital and real) fan, but I also have loved previous editions of Fight Night. Simply put, I'd be in gaming heaven that week with two (probable) rather quality titles.

3)Did I mention it'd be a good day to take off of work? You should!

So what are your expectations for both games? Do you think Fight Night Round 4 will live up to the incredible hype it is going to receive? What about NCAA Football 10?

I am with ya on the games, and taking a day off,but one thing from time to time makes me shake as well is the game (s) are made by EA sports......and with them it could wrong no matter how good the previous games were...but overall should be an exciting day?

Great Oden's Beard this is huge news!! I may need to write an article as we near the date as to how to lose the wife that day. The mouse just got on the wheel, because I am going to have to somehow evade her that day.

As a fellow Sooner Fan I feel the need to reply to you blog

I think you have talked me into putting in a vacation day.

It will be a day of A$$ kicking

I will play NCAA Football first....I'm also a NCAA Football nut....I must admit that I do have an interest in using Iron Mike Tyson in his prime to take someone's head off but only once I've kicked the Texas longhorns a$$ first

Once upon a time it was a day to skip work/school for. Now unfortunately I couldn't care less. How I do miss the feeling of Christmas in July. Glad for those of you who can still enjoy it.

I can see the camp who doesn't think either game is going to be worth playing. I personally think if both games are released on the same day, it will be an incredibly fun week to be doing what I do here at OS. This year as a whole could be incredibly fun IMO

I'm not into Fight Night but am looking forward to NCAA 2010. I think a few changes could really improve NCAA and it's easily the game I play the most all year. But I won't take the day off work. Before kids maybe but with the kids home, I would get little gaming in anyways lol. Most gaming is done with them in bed.
